Charles Mountain

Charles Mountain Ranch seems to be getting better each year. 2007 was once again our finest season to date. The Columbian black-tailed deer have been outstanding the last several years. We are still only taking eight clients a year on this 8,600 acre ranch and the light pressure is paying off with quality bucks. All the bucks harvested in 2007 scored over 120 SCI points, with a majority over the 130 point threshold. Not only are the bucks trophy-class, but it truly is a fun hunt. The Ranch has plenty of openings that allow for glassing and stalking your buck. For the coming year, we are also offering management bucks to clients. These are older bucks that are typically heavy-horned and wide but are 3 pointers or less. If you want to pursue this option, you will need to acquire a second deer tag. We can assist all out of state hunters in getting state hunting licenses and tags. California hunters are on their own!

All clients should also purchase a black bear tag since there are some beautiful bears on Charles Mountain, and they are taken purely on a trophy basis.
