Tule Elk

MUM offers exclusive tule elk hunts on two fine California ranches. Both have a history of producing heavy antlered bulls. Expectations for class of bulls, though vary. On the Connolly and Corral Hollow Ranches, typical bulls range from 215 - 270 SCI points. On Rancho la Cuesta, the hunter expectation should be to harvest a bull in the 230-300 SCI point range.

We have worked on the Connolly and Corral Hollow ranches for over a decade now. For Rancho la Cuesta, 2019 will be our eighth year on the ranch. We have assisted with the PLM habitat program on both ranches.  We have certainly seen some influence that California's drought has had on the range conditions, and relative size of the tule elk, but all in all, we are encouraged by the good condition of these animals. As we start getting normal rainfall again, the herds will have the ability to spring back quickly.
