# 93 Santa Rosa Island Mule Deer Buck-- Tom Welch
Tom was one of the nicest guys we ever had the pleasure of guiding on Santa Rosa Island. He is a true trophy hunter from Arizona, but was always very positive no matter how that day might have played out. On the Island, you couldn't help but have a terrific time (unless you had a possible phobia of wind) since the that next ridge or canyon bottom might hold the buck of a lifetime. Nevertheless, Tom stood out for his great approach to hunting. He and his guide Adam really hit it off and became a great team on Tom's hunts out there. The next year Tom brought out his daughter Chrissy for a hunt. Obviously Tom raised her well and taught her to shoot straight. Oops, forgot to say when this buck was shot. Tom harvested this buck Sept 7, 2009. The sandstone bluffs in the background really sets off the buck nicely.
